Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Farbinder, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password secure. Give us accurate information, and keep your email address current so we can reach you. You must be at least 13 to sign up, or older if the law where you live sets a higher minimum.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us permission to store, display and distribute it as part of running the service, including showing it on public pages and to search engines.

Do not post content that:

• is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or threatening;
• infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or privacy;
• is spam, scam, or deliberately misleading;
• impersonates another person or business.

Members can flag content, and we may remove anything that breaks these rules or suspend accounts that repeatedly do. We are not obliged to monitor everything posted, and we are not responsible for content posted by others.

Deleting a post: if a post has replies, deleting it leaves a placeholder in the thread so the remaining conversation still makes sense. Copies may also persist in backups for a period after deletion.

Many listings in our directory were imported from public data sources and were not submitted by the business they describe. That means a listing may be incomplete or out of date. If a business is yours, you can claim it and take over its content, or ask us to correct or remove it.

Claiming a listing is subject to verification. By claiming one, you confirm you are authorised to act for that business, and you become responsible for the accuracy of what appears on it.

We may decline, remove or reassign a listing where a claim looks unfounded or where the listing breaks these terms.

Promotions are created and honoured by the business offering them, not by Farbinder. We are not a party to any transaction between you and a business. If a merchant refuses a valid offer, that is a matter between you and them, though we would like to hear about it.

Promotions may have expiry dates, limited quantities, or a limit of one per customer. A claim code is valid only while the promotion is running, and can normally be redeemed once.

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Payments are processed by Stripe under their terms.

Cancelling stops future charges; we do not refund the unused part of a period you have already paid for, since you keep full access until it ends. This does not affect any statutory cancellation or refund rights you have where you live.

Some pages show advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. Ads and sponsored listings are not endorsements. Paid plans may reduce or remove advertising.

Business listing data is derived from Overture Maps Foundation places data, used under the Community Data License Agreement – Permissive, Version 2.0, with contributions from Foursquare (Apache 2.0) and AllThePlaces (CC0 1.0).

Geographic names are from GeoNames, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Maps and geocoding are provided by Mapbox; map imagery carries the Mapbox and OpenStreetMap attribution their terms require.

You can stop using Farbinder and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we must act on for legal reasons.

The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that listings, opening hours, promotions or content posted by others are accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
